WM makes final garbage bin sweep

Nearly all Waste Management garbage containers should be picked up and the company will be doing a final sweep next week. WM has driven through the entire city twice now and there should not be much left to pick up. They continue to pick up containers daily. The company asks that all Waste Management containers be out by 6 a.m. on Monday, August 1. Leave them on the street until they’re gone, as it will take two to three days to canvas the entire community for the last carts. If your container has not been picked up by August 4, please call Waste Management at (208) 765-4968. The City transitioned its garbage collection service to Coeur d'Alene Garbage Service, a private, Post Falls-based company, effective July 1. Waste Management planned an approximately one-month timeline to pick up containers from more than 14,000 customers and are meeting that goal/Deputy City Manager Sam Taylor, city of Coeur d'Alene.
