Chris Guggemos sings the final stanza of Louis Armstrong's

On his Facebook wall, Chris Guggemos of Handshake Productions, the man who has brought us free summer music in our local parks for 20 years, reports that he will under go surgery today for cancer. Keep Chris in your thoughts and prayers. Here’s his message:

“Today I will be undergoing surgery at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, WA, for cancer. The operation is called a “pelvic exenteration.” I will be in the hospital for 5-7 days. After the surgery, I probably will go to rehab for a while before returning home but I won’t know until later. I want to thank you all for your support and friendship. The prognosis is good but there will be a period of recovery that will keep me under the radar for several month s. By next summer I will be back in the saddle, staging the concerts in CDA and Hayden. Please keep me in your prayers and thoughts. I will try to keep you updated through Facebook.”
