Huckleberries Online

What should we be discussing?

I notice that Phaedrus and Facebook Friend Jamie Velandra of Spanaway, Wash., both question are level of interest in the passenger incident on the United flight. Comments Phaedrus: "Three people dead including a child, 1 wounded. And gun violence is so prevalent that this post gets one comment and United Airlines' horrific customer service gets 58 comments. Sad commentary on America." Jamie Velandra wonders why we're more interested in the United passenger than the Syria and North Korea problems. "Hmm ... red herring?" Jamie writes. I have my opinion on the various levels of interest in these different news event. But I want to hear yours.

Question: Why are we more interested in a passenger being dragged off a United flight than other news stories?
