Then and Now preview: The Pine Shed
Do you remember The Pine Shed, a popular neighborhood bar and restaurant on the corner of Division and Nora? The building is long gone, but it was a landmark in Spokane for more than 40 years, 35 of those in the two-story building on the corner. Brothers Roy and Bill Wilks ran the restaurant (they also ran other establishments) from 1954 to 1977. Many other family members worked in their restaurants, too. Subsequent owners also built loyalty with food specials and events like football games, boxing matches and concerts.
See Monday’s Then and Now column for the history of this venerable nightspot and watering hole.
