There were some interesting stories to be found in Saturday’s Valley Voice and I’ll recap some of the highlights here for those of you who missed it. Three Spokane Valley Lutheran churches have voted to consolidate and form an all new church. The City of Millwood is discussing budget cuts for 2011. The city doesn’t have enough money to pay for planned traffic calming improvements and may have to raise the utility rates. The new false alarm ordinance in Spokane Valley has led to a drop in the number of false alarms police must respond to and a leaky pipe that sent water into an electrical socket started a house on fire.
