More Barry on the Get Lit! docket

If you missed the Saturday night performance of Lynda Barry , you’re going to get a second chance. Trouble is, you’ll have to wait a year.

According to Scott Poole, Get Lit! festival director, Barry has agreed not only to return for Get Lit! 2004, not only lead a workshop but also design the festival poster.

Next year’s Get Lit! is already shaping up to be better than ever. Garrison Keillor at the Opera House, Lynda Barry teaching a workshop. If Poole keeps this up, Eastern Washington University Press might start getting literary celebrities begging to come and perform.

And if that happens, Spokane’s reputation as an artistic wasteland might just be put in jeopardy. Imagine that.
