Doing well with Doig
I’m on page 224 of “Dancing at the Rascal Fair,” Ivan Doig’s novel that is the February selection for The Spokesman-Review Book Club. And though I have 176 pages to go, I’m finding Doig’s book easy reading. And it’s intriguing. Montana life at the turn of the 20th century wasn’t easy for anyone, even the tough-willed Scottish immigrants of Doig’s imagination.
