Passing the time, er, “The Hours”

The good thing about going to a late film in Spokane, at least one on a weekday, is that you typically have the theater to yourself.

I saw “The Hours” at 9:40 Tuesday night, and aside from my wife and me, there were only three other people around. No kids, no obnoxious loudmouths, nobody eating popcorn with his or her mouth open.

The result: We got to see a good movie in peace.
