In the wild, mild West

And this morning, on Starz, we have “Almost Heroes,” the 1998 comedy about a bunch of Lewis & Clark wannabes. Matthew Perry is Leslie Edwards, and the late Chris Farley is Bartholomew Hunt. And the movie is… well, about as lame as a three-legged marmot.

There’s no Zags game tonight — did I mention that GU’s men’s basketball team lost last night to the University of San Diego, ON USD’S HOME COURT! — so maybe we’ll go see “The Bank,” which is billed as an Australian stock market thriller.

Can you say oxymoron?

As for “Almost Heroes,” well, let’s just say that Christopher Guest (“Waiting for Guffman”) has done better.

Then again, so have the Zags.
