One final bit of Irish doggerel

I would rather not stand in the light reserved solely for those who brave the world of criticism in hopes of earning mention in The Spokesman-Review’s annual limericks contest. But I had to print part of a letter sent to me by one of our winners.

Writes Jim Cranford of Spokane:

“There’s an S-R arts writer named Dan;
He loves marmots, AYE!, this newspaperMAN;
With a surname so very…
So very dictionARY,
He’s Sir Webster, Wordsmithy of Spokane.”

Sir Webster. Say, that has a nice sound.
