Flaunting Flaubert: Or, Go Zags!
My friend Kathleen Magone loves to send out interesting quotes. Here’s one that I just received: “It’s splendid to be a great writer, to put men into the frying pan of your imagination and make them pop like chestnuts.” Those are the words of Gustave Flaubert , the French novelist, uttered way back in 1851.
Oh, and by the way, Gonzaga men’s basketball team just beat Cincinnati, 74-69. The Bearcats got popped like chestnuts.
Splendid, eh?
