On the road again…
Gov. Gary Locke leaves next week for another trade mission, this time to China and Vietnam. The 10-day trip is his fifth trade mission to Asia — previous stops have included Japan (three times), China (twice) and Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong. He’s also visited Mexico twice on official visits.
Locke will meet with the prime minister of Vietnam, promote Washington apples and potatoes in Ho Chi Minh City, and celebrate delivery of a new Boeing 777 to Hanoi.
Also on the trip will be Valoria Loveland, director of the state Department of Agriculture, and a 25-member business delegation, including Spokane’s Bill Mann, vice president of international sales for United Coatings Manufacturing Co.
