In Memoriam

The parade went on as exciting as ever
Some were missing, to return - never
Among them one who saluted them all
Sempter Fi was Ron Rankin’s call.

He was there each year always with pride
Never forgetting those who served at his side
An American for sure, a Marine at heart
He served with them, until he too would part.

His memory will continue for the years ahead
He continues to live…to me he’s not dead
The courthouse memorial was his final call
Ron’s spirit lives there where it says it all.
