This photo reminds me of the time, mebbe 45 years ago, when my father saved himself and a calf in the flooded Feather River of northern California by clinging to a tree until rescuers pulled them out. Tropical Storm Cindy swept the woman here and her car into Greene Creek earlier today. She was rescued. I wouldn’t run the photo otherwise.
