But that quote will live forever

There’s an e-mail set of jokes that’s going around. It’s supposed to be bona-fide sayings by some of the supposedly smartest people in the world ( Brooke Shields , for example, has a Princeton education; Bill Clinton was a Rhodes Scholar), which causes me to question some of them.

But the following I fully believe. Even if it isn’t true, I believe it:

Question: If you could live forever, would you and why?
Answer: “I would not live forever, because we should not live forever, because if we were supposed to live forever, then we would live forever, but we cannot live forever, which is why I would not live forever.”

That was, we’re told, Miss Alabama in the 1994 Miss USA contest.
