Issue: Blue Law’s gone — let’s drink to that: Liquor sales among scores of regulations that will take effect /David Ammons, Associated Press.

DFO: Is it really a handicap if liquor sales are banned on Sunday? I drink wine. And can’t remember the last time I bought a bottle of liquor, this side of college. I still think it’s weird that the state has the corner on the liquor market in some Northwest states. BTW, as of today, it’s legal to slander a woman in Washington. We’ve come a long way, baby.

Question: With all the hullabaloo when the Legislature is in session, can you remember one good law that was passed in either Washington or Idaho?
