13 years in a row… Yeah, the pendulum swings, doesn’t it. Someone once said that even the best sports teams are just one or two factors away from being mediocre. For the Vandals, it was hiring He Who Must Not Be Named (AKA Tom Cable). The Broncos remember that kind of thing with Skip Hall.

Nick Holt has the Vandals on the right track. From what I’ve heard, the mood among the football players is a complete 180 from Cable’s days. People are excited about Holt’s program. His staff brings a spirit and expertise that is on par with the best of them, ala Coach Hawkins at BSU. The new weight room, locker room and SprinTurf practice fields have brought facilities up to WAC level. Now it’s time to play the games… Exciting days ahead in VandalVille.
