Inside Huckleberries — 6/14/05

*Gotta coupla of important anniversaries in my family and personal life over the next coupla weeks. Today, Flag Day, my older sister, Eileen , turned 60. (BTW, I’m second in line outta 6; 2 other siblings live in North Idaho). Eileen runs marathons, so I don’t consider her an old 60.

*Tomorrow, I celebrate my 35th anniversary as a newspaperman. A lot of water under the bridge since I started in the mailroom of the Chico (Calif.) Enterprise-Record under cantankerous Lester Earle and his wife. But it was worth it.

*On the 21st, I celebrate my 30th wedding anniversary with the Love of My Life, Brenda . And, yes, I’d marry her again in a heartbeat.

*On the 23rd, my mother, who also lives Kootenai County, turns 80.

*Not much else to report except a curious blog number for Monday, which hit 4957 pageviews by the 4 p.m. split. With the evening numbers, HBO could be in record territory set March 11 of 6534 ( Brownie Boy episode). Stay tuned.
