Wayback Machine — Brunswick Cafe

Here it is; the Brunswick Cafe, Sherman Avenue between 4th and 5th Streets, in 1968! It was the last year of Lyndon Johnson’s presidency…gas was probably 25 cents a gallon, if that…I used to go into the Brunswick as a kid…and drink Cherry Cokes. (strong stuff!) The severe winter of 1968…I’d go snow-shoveling all over town…then walk downtown, spend my money on…you guessed it, records…and I’d always end up over at the Brunswick.
