A Mayor’s Tears

In the “Did She Or Didn’t She Cry Category And She Sez She Didn’t,” Coeur d’Alene Mayor Sandi Bloem was in good humor today following her interview with KVNI’s Dick Haugen — at the end of which Dick poked her by saying that it was nice that she could make it through the interview without crying … In a related matter, Sheriff Rocky Watson dropped by this AM to discuss a variety of issues, including the unsolved Groene case, and he mentioned the Monday Huckleberry that said Duane Hagadone had brought Sandi to tears after haranguing her for opposing his downtown garden plans. Sez Rocky: “I don’t know if I could make her cry or not. If I did, that still doesn’t mean she’d back down.” We both agreed Sandi’s tough, tears or no. And that she’s done a heckuva job.
