* Issue: Court e-mails shed little light: exchanges related to drug court heavily redacted / Erica Curless , SR. And: Officials’ e-mails investigated / Dave Turner , Coeur d’Alene Press.

DFO : “… in a March 3 exchange in which (Marina) Kalani (pictured above) writes, ‘Thank you. You are so good to me. Just wait until I get you alone!’ … “(Prosecutor Bill) Douglas responds ‘promises, promises.’” Both dismiss such e-mail exchanges as harmless bantering and deny having an affair. The exchange above was redacted in the copies provided by Kootenai County to the local media. Rather than redacting 461 e-mails between the two and withholding 599 others, the county should provide as much info as possible so the public can better judge what’s happening here.
