Peanut Gallery — Free Transit?

I say, ‘WHAT’S THE ANGLE’ (re: new bus service underwritten by Coeur d’Alene Indian Tribe)? I hate to wax cynical, but there IS ALWAYS an angle. Nothing is for free. If it’s too good to be true, it probably is. So what’s the angle? More business for the Casino? Better perception of the casino and those who run it? Any chance of tax breaks for hauling around senior citizens and other disadvantaged riders? If I was still cab-driving, I’d wonder how much a free bus service service would cut into my ability to make a living.

CDADave

DFO: CDADave apparently has had a devil of a time posting this comment re: the rural transit system from Tensed to Hayden offered free by the federal government and Coeur d’Alene Indian tribe. You can read his comments here . Meanwhile, I’ve asked my blogmeisters to check out the spam problem of which Dave writes. I would have addressed this problem sooner if I had been in the office before today. Sorry.

Above photo: Patricia Schneider of Coeur d’Alene was so excited about taking the new Citylink bus service that she attended the largely ceremonial ribbon cutting this morning/SR photo by Jesse Tinsley.
