I’m Back
I had a great time taping an interview about the 25 years of the Kootenai County Task Force on Human Relations with Tony Stewart, Bill Morlin and Erna Rinehart. Sorta weird to be on the receiving end of the questions. Usually, I don’t like to be a talking head (a media expert who appears on radio or TV). But the cause was most worthy: to reflect on the incredible struggle against neo-Nazism that I’ve chronicled as a reporter and an editorial writer over the last 21 years in the community. I didn’t realize at the time that I had a front-row seat during a significant period in the history of North Idaho and the Inland Northwest. Big-time hat tip to Tony, Norm Gissel, Doug Cresswell, the late Larry Broadbent and Bill Wassmuth, and others who put their lives on the line by entering the ring to fight the good fight.
