If you’re looking for another source of local news, you might check out Dailies Quarterly , a Web site that is the online edition of a quarterly publication calling itself “the Inland Northwest’s Media Trade Journal.”

One of the editors, Eric Gollinger , has been active in the local independent filmmaking scene, having worked most notably with the prolific Ron Ford .

One caveat: In the item about the film “Home of the Brave” being back on track for production in Spokane, a “Rich Cohen” of North By Northwest Productions is mentioned. I’m not sure, but could that be referring to Rich Cowan , one of the cofounder of the business and director of the film “The Basket” ?

Below: Hitchcock’s film “North By Northwest” has nothing to do with the above item. But as it has the same name as the Spokane film production company named in the posting, I used it as a cheap excuse to run a photo of one of my favorite films.
