Road ends

Online readers didn’t have the chance to see Molly Quinn’s graphic on the Hayden boat ramp that has been the site of several fatal accidents in recent years (download page PDF). Idaho editor Scott Maben tells us the project took place over the span of about three days, with reporter Taryn Brodwater and photographer Kathy Plonka going to the site three separate times to take measurements and photos. “There was quite a bit of work that went into it,” Maben said.

And, of course, we’re still gathering information on this weekend’s fatal crash at River Park Square. Reporter Virginia de Leon was in scramble mode on Saturday, filing multiple updates for the Web site while still pulling the story together for the paper, and we’ve got two reporters working the story today.
