Issue: Ex-teacher jailed for impregnating girl, now his wife/Couple hopes life in Wyoming will provide “second shot” /Sara Leaming, Spokesman-Review

DFO: Judge Robert M. Swalstad had a tough call here. The teacher and his under-age galpal are now married. By sentencing him to six months in jail and ordering him to register as a sex offender, the judge hurt the couple’s chances of beginning life over with a decent job to meet its needs. Yet, the sentence was below the maximum.
