Who ya gonna call?
Editors half-joked that we should distribute a sticker or fridge magnet explaining how to report a crime in Spokane, along with the phone number for the news room so they can tell us about it.
Redesign feedback
Comments about the redesign have dropped off a bit. Some readers are asking that the comics run on the back page of the Today section. This happens once in a while, but because it’s valuable ad space we can’t give it over to the comics all the time. We’re still getting comments/hate mail about the crossword puzzle, mainly having to do with the size of the new puzzle. We’re also looking into moving the Official Records to the B section from Sports.
Errata
We’re still trying to wrap our brains around the rather cryptic cutline on the “Valentine’s surprise” photo on page B1:
Charlene Hunt sits with her co-worker, James Thomas of Pitney Bowes, in the food cour of Riverpark Square during lunch on Valentine’s Day. Hunt brought a black garbage bag full of Valentine’s Day decor for the table along with a stuffed bear and chocolates. “And all I got her was that card,” Hunt cooed.
We’re not sure, but it’s probably Thomas that got the lousy card (score yourself bonus points if you noticed that River Park Square is also incorrect).
Topping that, we misspelled “Gregoire” in the briefs column on page B1. We humbly regret the errors…
