Wild Card/Saturday — 1/18/06

Well, it looks as though the HBO gang’s almost back, with the return of Bob, Kick Shoe, et al,
Friday. Even George Thomas/Ain’t No God checked in earlier in the week to say he still didn’t believe. The only one missing is Any Mouse, whom I tossed in the cooler for a week or so, but have invited back (under his real name). The challenge now will be to keep the level of discourse as high as it’s been in the last month, while having fun. I must admit I’ve had my shorts in a bunch for awhile. And haven’t been the most gracious host. But I pulled out of that tail spin last week. I’ll work harder to keep things light here — even when we’re discussing tough topics, as we have this week. Meanwhile, I want you to treat each other with respect, be passionate, and have fun. Here’s your Saturday Wild Card …
