Mailbag: Aging Spokane Newscasters

CDADave: Mark Peterson falls on his face every day, trying to be humorous. Mark is basically TV’s idea of KVNI’s “Morning show” … And I tuned in KREM the other day … we all know Charles (Rowe) is “getting up there”, and Nadine’s (Woodward) starting to age as well. They’ve both been there FOREVER. Maybe KREM actually needs all the “anti-wrinkle tricks” it can get.

DFO: Although I’m not a major local TV news watcher, I’d say you could add others to your list. Randy Shaw. Debra Wilde. Sunshine Shelly. How do you know when a local personality has become too long in tooth? I, for one, am happy that age isn’t a critical issue for print journalists. Otherwise, at 56, I’d be wondering when management was going to put me out to pasture.
