CoeurGenX: Don’t Forget About Yard Sign Clutter

CoeurGenX (re: ”sick of looking at it” — Inside Huckleberries): HOW ABOUT ALL THOSE YARD-SALE SIGNS THAT STAY UP FOR WEEKS. Why can’t we start fining these people if their signs are still up by the following Tuesday? Then the city can pocket all the loose change they collected for their worthless stuff! it shouldn’t be hard to find them, their address is stuck right on the power-pole. I’m sick of looking at those too!

DFO: Dunno what law is being broken re: yard sale signs (other than they’re not suppose to be posted on utility poles). But few infractions would be easier to prove. After all, the address is written on them. All the city/county would have to do is … announce a crackdown, check utility poles on the day of the sales to find violators and then check again on Monday to see which signs are still up. Game, set, match — here’s your citation, darlin’.
