McCrory: What Happens When Geese Move In?
Bill McCrory: I’ve seen an increasing number of Canadian geese in the blighted area of Riverstone. It will be interesting to see how the city handles the goose “fallout” once its much-touted water feature opens. Think Shelley Lake.
DFO: Bill, do you see Canadian geese soiling the lake shore of the viewtiful Coeur d’Alene Resort golf course? Or do you see vagrants panhandling on Sherman Avenue? The rich and powerful of this town have an uncanny ability to rid themselves of nuisances. If the geese decide to migrate from the public area at NIC beach to Lake Riverstone, they should consider Dirty Harry’s famous line first: Do you feel lucky? Hunh, duck?
