12:04 p.m., “Post Falls city officials are refusing to release the names of the 40-plus applicants who have applied for the city administrator position being vacated by Jim Hammond, who is vying for a seat being vacated by Dick Compton, who is retiring from the legislature. They will have a short list of about 15 that they are going to offer to the public in late August” — Sam The Intern.
11:37 a.m., I have a dyne-oh!-mite Huckleberry for tomorrow’s print version. Should I tell you about it today and ruin the surprise? Or make you wait until tomorrow?
11:28 a.m., Editor Steve Smith lamented during our weekly Editorial Board conference call that he has to quit commenting on HBO because he sometimes makes controversial statement. I assured him that he adds much to the comment dialogue and is most welcome here. Now, if only he’d agree with my posts …
