This probably won’t be the last we’ll hear about the two detectives that told a Spokane firefighter to delete photos of a 16-year-old he had sex with at a fire station. The big hanging question is whether this is destruction of evidence, and in turn a violation of the law.

As for the pictures themselves, photo editor Larry Reisnouer is confident the images can be recovered. “There’s a 70 percent change I could do it in 10 minutes,” he said.

Rumor mill pre-emption: We don’t have access to the photos, and if we did, we wouldn’t publish them. Relax.
