Blowing things up

We started off today’s meeting with a screening of Colin Mulvany’s video of the Boomershoot marksmanship event, in which participants shoot at long-range explosive targets. There was a brief discussion about when it’s appropriate to run a photo of a murder victim - today’s story about a proposed memorial for Dylan Groene was one of those cases when the photo is OK, but not so much for incremental stories about crime investigations, etc.

Also, Steve Smith and Gary Graham expressed some regret that we didn’t lead with the Kroc Center grant in the Idaho edition. It was anticipated, but the $65 million project is nevertheless big news for Kootenai County.
