Chuck Norris certainly is no ‘Dandelion’

Just received this e-mail from Edward Thomas Jr. in reference to my column in today’s issue of 7 , which critiques the made-in-Spokane Chuck Norris film “The Cutter.”

Hi Dan

After reading this week’s 7 and your take on Spokane made films, it appears that you provided the “kick” missing in “The Cutter.” I feel a little reluctant to inform you that “Dandelion” (I had inquired earlier) with Mare Winningham and Arliss Howard , filmed in Endicott (outside of Spokane – whew) – (smile) is now out on DVD. Without expressing a little personal bias, I thought that it was a sad but interesting film.

Edward: I remember your having e-mailed me awhile ago. There were, in fact, quite a few films that I didn’t mention. I was just trying to include the worst, of which “Dandelion” – though I have my problems with the plot – certainly doesn’t belong. Thanks for the reminder.
