The Slice: Slow pace today? Blame co-workers
Work-wise, there are three ways to go today.
You can shift into overdrive and get everything done before the long weekend.
You can decide there’s nothing that can’t wait till Tuesday and knock off early.
Or you can pretend that you wanted to get a lot done but couldn’t because no one else seemed to be working.
“Slice answer: “Our daughter Anna’s favorite stuffed animal, Igoryok, the rabbit, traveled from Spokane to Tyumen, Siberia, Russia, and back on eight different airplanes in 11 days,” wrote Anna’s father Mark, who works in law enforcement.

“Just wondering: If you work at home, whom do you talk to about your favorite TV show?
“With a little help from her friends: “In the midst of all the freeway construction and traffic snarls, it’s heartwarming to see busy rush-hour traffic come to a standstill while a mother duck and her eight little ducklings safely made their way across four lanes,” wrote Caroline Baker.
She witnessed this the other morning on the freeway ramp between Ash and Maple.
“I was so scared someone wouldn’t stop. But even the driver of a big ol’ city bus stomped on his brakes.”
And the feathered family waddled to the other side.
“The joys of being pregnant in the public eye: An e-mail to KXLY-TV asked if Kris Crocker was expecting or if she was just letting herself go.
“Today’s Slice question: How do you react when people living near you put their houses up for sale with ridiculously high asking prices?
