Construction up in Spokane area
Residential and nonresidential construction is on the rise in the Spokane area.
According to McGraw-Hill Construction, a national authority on the building industry, there has been a 36 percent increase in building activity from late October of 2005 to late October this year.
Last year, construction in the area totaled $534 million. This year, building activity has increased to $727 million.
