Liberty Lake gains new business
Mario & Son Inc. is building a new stone-manufacturing facility next to Interstate 90 and near Huntwood Industries, in Liberty Lake.
The 43,000-square-foot building will cost about $3 million to construct, not including the price of the equipment it will house, said Craig Woodard, project manager for Wolfe Architectural Group, designers of the facility.
Mario & Son makes products such as fireplaces and countertops. Interior elements of its new facility will integrate some of the company’s upper-end products, which include onyx, granite, marble and synthetic Sile stone.
The facility will also have a 7,000-square-foot showroom.
The company has outgrown its Spokane Valley location, Woodard said.
“They are growing really rapidly and trying to emerge as more of a premier-quality manufacturer,” he said.
Construction should get under way in the next couple weeks, he said, and is expected to take about eight months to complete.
