Family Phil: How About ‘Dem Vandals!

Wow, what a game! 28-26 late in the fourth quarter. Okay, so either the Broncos aren’t as good as they think they are, or the Vandals are better than people give them credit for. I didn’t see this huge talent gap that has been talked about in the press and on message forums. Other than the amazing Ian Johnson, I believe each team matches up quite evenly. So, yes, the Vandals can recruit talent to the beautiful Palouse. And Erickson can flat-out coach. What really impressed me, once again, were the roaring Vandal faithful. There’s a special kind of pride in being an Idaho grad. Go Vandals! — Family Phil .

DFO: Indeed, what an entertaining game. UIdaho definitely is on its way back under Erickson. But don’t forget the WSU Cougs. They knocked off Oregon in a big way at Martin Stadium and are a win away from a bowl bid. Very cool.
