*Bonner County Clerk Marie Scott e-mails an advisory that the final election results for county commissioner might not be available until noon the day after election. The big write-in vote for incumbent Karl Dye , who opposes Repub Lewis Rich, is expected to gum up the works. Writes Marie: “The ‘Terminator’ is great at reading colored in ovals, but we can’t seem to teach it to read English.”
*The SR newsroom is experiencing an incredibly sad day, reacting to the death of colleague Laura Crooks . This morning, the newspaper printed her last feature story, about Halloween costumes, here . Laura’s husband, Gary , of course, is one the other three editorial writers for the newspaper. Great guy. Great family. How sad.
* Wondering : “Please Dave, can the blue rat disappear?” DFO : It will when another post or two pushes it down the blog far enough that it no longer appears on the blog’s front page. Huckleberries Best of the INorthwest should do the trick.
