John Chamness
and Kroc Center project engineer
Steve Walker
are preparing a response to Larry Spencer’s op-ed Sunday attack in the Coeur d’Alene Press. They’re amazed that they weren’t contacted by the Press to address the claims that Spencer made.

* Erica Curless poked her head in the door a moment ago to say that Marina Kalani’s performance (the Dolly Parton role) in “Steel Magnolias” Friday night was (drum roll, puh-LEEZ) — fabulous. Erica, Taryn Brodwater and a group of others watched the play at the Lake City Playhouse. Erica’s critique: “Marina Kalani is a very talented local actress. Some of us girls went to see ‘Steel Magnolias’ Friday at the Lake City Playhouse and all agreed Kalani was fabulous in her role as Truvy Jones, the beauty parlor owner. The entire cast was great but Kalani especially stood out from mastering the southern accent to her hilarious facial expressions. Congratulations, Marina.” Marina, of course, is the individual involved in the prosecutor e-mail struggle with the SR that the Idaho Supreme Court is considering as I type. BTW, the play runs again this weekend.
