Realtors launch campaign site
The Spokane Association of Realtors has debuted SpokaneQualityofLife.com , a new Web site promoting growth planning surrounding the Spokane Affordable Homeownership Task Force.
That group on Friday released a report saying the Spokane area can’t continue “business as usual” to provide affordable housing for a growing population as home values continue to climb:
“All of this growth brings both tremendous opportunities and serious challenges,” the site states.
The main page has links to the recent report and other task force documents, as well as TV ads. Realtors have expressed concerns about the ” NIMBY ” (Not In My Back Yard) mindset about development - when people oppose new types of development in their area. Do you think this campaign could sway people to view development differently?
