Drugs and other weekend notes

The Monday morning meeting featured the return of Gary Graham to the newsroom. He has been on the road in Mexico with a group of newspaper editors and safely made his way home. He blogged about his trip so check that out.

Steve Smith started the meeting by praising JoNel Aleccia’s Sunday story Deadly prescriptions . “Terrific enterprise,” Smith said.

Smith also mentioned the weekend’s “excellent” funeral coverage for Darrel James Morris, the local Marine killed in Iraq.
