Zags-o-plenty
Today’s morning meeting:
“I’m sure glad we had a plan in the works,” Gary Graham said about the Gonzaga winning streak coverage in today’s paper.
Most at the table agreed.
Several people commented on how quick the story got online after the game and a couple of folks pointed to John Blanchette’s column
Santa Clara win was no fluke
as a great piece of deadline writing.
Nancy Malone mentioned the new-to-the-Spokesman-Review chat boards GU Boards and their addition to the refer links from the Gonzaga story package.
There was a short conversation at the table about today’s
Accuracy watch
and the inclusion of the corrections on the
Africa reference incorrect
and the
Technique misrepresented
items. The case was made that these were very small items and that we should only be looking at the larger corrections there.
Gary Graham said,”How do you justify not running a correction to a reader?”
Looking ahead:
We are going to be at the police oversight forum tonight and we are going to be in Boise today at some hearings about ‘canned hunts’.
Be well.
Joe
