E la music e bella
Clint Eastwood gets up to present a special award to Ennio Morricone, the Italian composer of such movies as “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly,” “The Mission,” “Days of Heaven,” “Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion,” “Bugsy,” “The Untouchables” and dozens of others.
And then Celine Dion, the French Canadian chanteuse, sings Morricone’s song … the title of which I didn’t catch. (I should just write something in Italian. Who would know?)
And then he gives a speech in Italian, which I can barely make out – not just because my Italian is bad but because he’s an old man who doesn’t enunciate very well.
Good thing Clint is there to read from the cue cards.
