Record year for Spokane’s building department

Spokane set a number of records last year, including total value of projects, which reached nearly half a billion dollars.

City building inspectors logged some impressive numbers as well - making an impressive 35,000 inspections.

The banner year is leading to changes that will improve customer service. Additional employees have been hired for the building department and inspectors will be armed with laptops. Best of all, some building permits will now be offered online.
