Hey, Jon Stewart, pay attention!
One of the junior Kershners is making a name for herself as a humor writer. Kate Kershner, daughter and second child of Spokesman-Review columnist Jim Kershner , has had another piece printed in McSweeney’s online edition.
Kershner shows a sense of the language that most people never achieve. And her comic tone is purely 21st century: She’s acerbic, ironic, smart and capable of covering a range of topics from a Christmas visit with her parents (done as an entertainment contract) to her father’s penchant for fantasy baseball (done as a team meeting).
This is a kid who should be writing a book. Or a sitcom. Better yet, she should be writing for “The Daily Show.”
