A peek behind the scenes:

Tuesday afternoon is when the weekend meeting is held. Editors from the News, Features, Business, Seven, Sports, Photo, and Online departments gather in the office of managing editor Gary Graham to look ahead.

In today’s meeting, stories in progress for Sunday and Monday of this week, as well as the next few Sundays, are previewed and discussed for possibilities such as multimedia or online.

Some of these story ideas are tied to large events in the community, such as Ironman this weekend and Hoopfest at the end of June, while others are more “enterprise” ideas. The readers will see the results of the planning in Sunday papers to come.
