A.M. meeting

Jeff B

The centerpiece story on low-income housing issues in downtown Spokane was deemed a success at the table, though it was suggested that some of the bigger issues be followed and developed.

Other stories of note at the table today:

Sports’ coverage of the NBA Draft, including EWU’s Rodney Stuckey being chosen 15th overall by Detroit and a column by John Blanchette;

the CIA connections of two local psychologists; the De Leon pretrial motions; and

“7’s” 80s issue which featured a retro Transformers cover.

Catch of the day: Spokesman-Review librarian Sara Lindgren noticed a mistake in a Los Angeles Times story which ran in Thursday’s paper about Bing Crosby. In the story, the Times referred to Harry Crosby as being Bing Crosby’s brother. They are, in fact, one in the same. Harry is Bing’s legal name. So noted.
