Inside Huckleberries —3/16/07

*I’m hanging out at Java On Sherman again today. I ordered my 16-ounce coffee black before I remembered that OrangeTV recommended the Bowl of Soul. Usually, I go for coffee straight up. No froo-froo. But I’ll make an exception next time I’m in here. Owner Sam Wallin explained Bowl of Soul to me. Sounds pretty darn good.

*I’m $678 poorer as a result of my close encounter with the local DMV. Unfortunately, my brother-in-law lives in Oregon, where there’s no sales tax. Therefore, I paid it instead. That extra penny in sales tax last summer cost me $110. Oh well, at least I can take the Oregon plates off the 4Runner, and put on good old red-white-and-blue Idaho ones. I was beginning to feel an impulse to hug a tree after driving an Oregon car for three weeks.
